The Hindi film industry is based in Mumbai, which was called Bombay before and famous for the name Bollywood. Bollywood came from the emergence of Hollywood and Bombay films. Hindi film industry or Bollywood is the largest film industry when it comes to film production and box office records. There are many actors of Bollywood film are now famous around the world. One good example of an actor is A.R. Rahman. He is the most famous music composer of Indian cinema. His films are also dubbed to the languages understood by non-Hindi viewers. Some actors became famous in Hollywood but started as a Hindi actor. This only shows that Hindi films are famous both nationally and internationally.
